Patient Access Representative - 24 hr

Process pre-registration, registration and admission in the Emergency Department at Saint Mary’s Hospital. Verify insurance requirements and understand insurance benefits, secure signatures and all other key information needed to complete billing and collection functions. Collect or arrange for co-insurance and/or other deposit payment amounts; refer self-pay patients to financial counselors and answer patient questions. Part-time role (24 hours) with 7:00 AM–3:30 PM shifts, includes weekend rotation; orientation/training is Day shift for 2–3 weeks;可能 includes time in Springfield at Mercy Medical Center depending on distance. Minimum qualification: High school diploma or equivalent; bilingual English/Spanish preferred; healthcare/hospital registration experience preferred.
