Job Summary
Registers patients for clinical services, verifies insurance eligibility, collects payments, and enters demographic, financial, and clinical information for financial clearance of scheduled patient accounts. Contacts patients’ families or physicians’ offices to obtain missing insurance details, obtains necessary authorizations/pre-certifications/referrals, and notifies patients of liabilities. Maintains records and adheres to policies while enabling collaboration with scheduling departments and safeguarding assets. The role emphasizes accuracy, discretion with confidential information, and effective written and oral communication within a team-based healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
