Job Summary
Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for scheduled patient accounts. Contact families or physicians' offices to secure missing insurance data, verify eligibility, and notify parties of coverage failures or liabilities. Collaborate with scheduling to identify add-on patients and secure necessary authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals. Collect payments and maintain accurate documentation in the system of record while adhering to university policies. Register patients for clinical services at the new UHealth at Doral facility, which serves as a western hub for ambulatory services including cancer care, eye, and urology specialties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of relevant experience
- General knowledge of office procedures and operations
- Skill in data entry with minimal errors
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
