Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Team Leader, Rehab Operations, perform a variety of office support duties and coordinate various patient care processes in accordance with established Rehabilitation Services department policies and procedures. Manage daily operations within the office environment, ensuring all tasks align with safety and procedural standards. This role is based at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA, with a day shift schedule from Monday through Thursday (10:45am–7:15pm) and Friday (8:00am–4:30pm). The position requires over three years of related medical office work experience, proficiency in computer systems and medical terminology, and exceptional customer service skills. Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Computer experience
- Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask throughout the business day
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Over three years of related medical office work experience
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
