Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Team Leader, Rehab Operations, perform a variety of office support duties and coordinate various patient care processes in accordance with established Rehabilitation Services department policies and procedures. Manage daily administrative tasks for the rehab team while maintaining exceptional customer service skills in a fast-paced environment. Requires proficiency in computer systems, medical terminology, and multitasking throughout the business day. Must possess strong reasoning and critical thinking abilities. This role is part of Southcoast Health's commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare close to home, supporting our mission to serve local communities in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Computer experience
- Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask throughout the business day
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Over three years of related medical office work experience
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent demonstrated work experience
