Job Summary
Verify patient demographic and insurance information, obtain pre-certifications and authorizations, and collect co-pays and deposits to ensure proper billing. Direct patients to designated locations, post payments, create deposits, and manage cashier responsibilities while maintaining accuracy against vendor policies. Obtain room assignments and communicate admissions to nursing and clinical staff. Adhere to hospital procedures for outpatient orders and complete required annual competencies. This role supports the Cancer Care Center at Marshall Medical Centers, serving the Marshall County community with a focus on quality care and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- A working knowledge of computers and systems to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- money management skills

- critical thinking and problem solving
