Patient Access Rep

Patient Access Rep I handles preregistration, registration, patient financial counseling, and collections of patient liabilities such as co-payments. Works with medical staff and revenue cycle departments to coordinate Patient Access functions and ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information, while qualifying patients and families through interviews and data entry to maintain smooth patient flow. Responsibilities include collecting demographic and financial information for medical records, obtaining pre-service payments or waivers, counseling on payer financial responsibilities, and performing computer/telephone pre-registrations to support efficient registration processes.
