Job Summary
Support hospital registration processes, perform activities involving patient placement and movement, and monitor efficient transfers and discharges. Maintain accuracy in death certificate documentation and morgue throughput while acting as a liaison between Patient Access and clinical staff. Collaborate with departments, physicians, and administration to optimize bed usage, coordinate bed placement per guidelines, and assess admissions for appropriateness in compliance with payers and criteria. Work 20 hours weekly across rotating day shifts and weekends from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with lunch coverage on three days.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within a healthcare environment
- At least 3 years' experience in patient registration and/or eligibility and benefits
- Requires working knowledge/training in government payer rules and regulations
- Requires working knowledge/training regarding TPLs, WC, and other payment sources and liabilities
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- Tobacco and Drug Statement
Desired Qualifications
- Some college or post HS education preferred
