Job Summary
Coordinate all registration and pre-registration duties daily while assigning and managing staff schedules, including rotations and call-offs. Monitor daily productivity and point-of-service metrics, conduct audits to ensure acceptable performance, and provide coaching and corrective action as needed. Handle problem-solving for area assignments, assist with developing department processes, and track the upfront collection process. Conduct orientation and training for all Patient Access staff, maintain the time/attendance system, and act as a resource for internal and external customers. Perform on-call rotation covering days, nights, and weekends to fill staffing gaps or manage unexpected volumes. Report to Patient Access Leadership on department performance and participate in facility meetings to align clinical and administrative teams.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Healthcare Access Management (CHAM)
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or business field
- Ability to lead/direct others
- High degree of analytical ability
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of registration, insurance, scheduling, and/or verification and hospital billing
- Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and the management of teams using AI to lean in to process and technological improvements, to include the exploration, experimentation, and application of AI
- On-site work at Valley - Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA
- Ability to work on-call rotation which includes days, nights, and weekends
