Job Summary
Greet, register, and schedule incoming patients while verifying demographics and managing wait times. Assist providers with minor procedures by gathering supplies, applying dressings, and obtaining accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical record. Collect lab specimens, process multi-channel messages for appointments and prescriptions, and handle insurance responses to assign primary and secondary coverage. Reinforce patient instructions, collect financial responsibility including copays, and coordinate referrals and pre-certifications. Maintain inventory levels, ensure adequate stock of supplies, and perform high-level disinfection and sterilization of equipment and exam rooms. Report patient safety incidents, concerns, and environmental hazards immediately to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year Related work experience
