Job Summary
Lead daily patient access operations, including registration, insurance verification, and cash drawer reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with EMTALA, DNV, and HIPAA regulations. Manage site-specific medical records management and oversee dietary functions in collaboration with the registered dietician. Compile quality data reports, prepare work schedules, and handle payroll for allocated FTEs. Interview, hire, train, and evaluate patient access team members, providing continuous education on point-of-service collections. Maintain a clean facility environment, distribute mail, order supplies, and perform month-end procedures such as chart shredding and boxing. Work closely with regional partners on special projects and attend mandated staff meetings. Requires five years of patient registration experience, two years of supervisory experience, and fluency in English.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A four-year degree in business or healthcare
- A minimum of five years patient registration and insurance verification experience in a health care setting
- A minimum of two years supervisory experience in health care setting
- Emergency Department registration experience
- Knowledge of various types of insurance plans (PPO, POS, HMO, Medicare, and Medicaid.) and payors
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge or previous experience using EMR
- Excellent customer service
- Working knowledge with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
- Pennsylvania Candidates: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), & Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date
Desired Qualifications

- Emergency Department registration experience, strongly preferred
