Job Summary
Handle patient registration, insurance verification, pre-registration, and point of service collections while ensuring accurate patient data and educating patients on financial responsibilities. Manage valuables, coordinate morgue services, and process Medicare compliance forms including IM and MOON. Provide financial counseling referrals and maintain regulatory compliance through collaboration with clinical and revenue cycle teams. Deliver customer service at public arrival desks and the Emergency Department. Work per diem shifts including day, evening, and weekend rotations with on-site coverage requirements. Fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 required.
Required Qualifications
- Equal to completion of four years of high school
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Must be able to work at CMH and SLH as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Medical Terminology Certificate
- Demonstrated excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills including medical based programs
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other software programs
- Over three years related health care experience including working with third party payers
- CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manage) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate)
