Job Summary
Greet patients and visitors at the hospital Welcome Center as part of the Patient Access Service team. Responsibilities include friendly customer service, directing guests to departments, scheduling and check-in/registration, verification of insurance benefits, processing insurance-related tasks, and directing guests to the appropriate area. Duties also encompass processing screening questionnaires, assisting with MyChart access and proxy audits, handling point of service collections, and providing information to patients and families. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to hospital policies and dress code, answer calls promptly, and gather patient demographic and financial information. Proactively support the patient access workflow and contribute to a compassionate, efficient patient experience using EPIC systems and related tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
