Job Summary
Greet and assist patients upon arrival, verifying demographics and insurance details during check-in while handling walk-in registrations. Collect patient payments including deductibles, copays, and co-insurance at the front desk and coordinate follow-up appointments for cast, measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans. Serve as a liaison for clinic services, offering information on support groups and resources, while ensuring accurate electronic health records and collaborating with the Revenue Cycle Management team. Maintain a valid driver's license and key 30 words per minute to support these front office operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
- Ability to key 30 words per minute with accuracy
- Ability to work with handicapped individuals
- Understanding of Alpha filing system
- Understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology
- Understanding of front office (receptionist) duties
- Ability to use a computer, including Windows-based software and e-mail
- Ability to use all necessary office equipment, facsimile machines, calculator, postage machine, copier, etc.

Desired Qualifications
