Job Summary
Assess client needs and manage referrals for a centralized triage and intake line, gathering information via phone to link families with mental health services and support resources. Process referrals initiated by individuals, families, internal providers, or external stakeholders while completing client registration, authorization, and eligibility determinations. Schedule appointments for intake assessments and evaluations, providing families with details on LECOM Behavioral Health and Physical Health services. Uphold trauma-informed perspectives and strict confidentiality in all interactions, adhering to HIPAA and agency compliance rules. Maintain professional relationships with community service providers and stakeholders, and participate in required SAMHSA meetings, audits, and trainings. This part-time role (25-30 hours/week) supports the Achievement Center of LECOM Health's mission to help children overcome challenges through culturally competent care.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years' experience working in social serving systems
Desired Qualifications
- An associate's degree or higher in medical billing or a human services field
- Additional experience working in a social serving system in customer service, patient registration or medical billing
- Multilingual/cultural diversity experience
- Bilingual individuals
