Patient Access Coordinator, Frazier Hospital, 8:00a-4:30p

The Patient Access Coordinator oversees revenue cycle activities related to patient registration, referrals, precertification/pre-authorization, insurance verification, co-pay collections, customer service functions and training for front-end operations to ensure financial goals are met. Responsible for creating the first impression of University Medical Center services to patients and external customers, articulating information clearly to patients and guarantors about finances, and ensuring effective cash flow through registrations, verifications, pre-authorizations, collections and referrals. Develops and monitors systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness of registrations, tracks key performance indicators for Patient Access, facilitates cross-department communication, trains staff, and maintains compliant operations with policies, HIPAA, and third-party payers. Additional duties include assisting with projects, leading and coaching staff, maintaining high-quality customer service, and covering roles as needed to support department objectives.
