Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity and compliance checks, and collect insurance information while processing physician orders and utilizing an overlay tool. Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls with compassion, adhering to organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits by obtaining demographic and financial liability data, including point of service collections and payment plans. Review eligibility responses, enter benefit data to support billing processes, screen medical necessity using ABN software, and distribute required patient education documents and forms.
