Job Summary
Assign accurate medical record numbers, complete medical necessity and compliance checks, and collect insurance information while providing patient instructions and processing physician orders. Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls and adhere to policies with compassion. Conduct audits of accounts to ensure forms are completed accurately and timely, then report statistical data to leadership. Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits by obtaining demographic and insurance data, collecting point-of-service collections, and explaining consent forms to patients. Review eligibility responses in the insurance verification system to enter benefit data and screen medical necessity using ABN software.
Required Qualifications
- CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be able to work on-site at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, OH
