Patient Access Associate Specialist

Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity checks, and collect insurance information while processing physician orders and utilizing an overlay tool. Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls with appropriate compassion. Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits by obtaining demographic data, explaining consent forms, and collecting point-of-service collections. Review eligibility responses, enter benefit data to support billing processes, and screen medical necessity using ABN software for Medicare patients. Conduct audits of accounts to ensure forms are accurate and timely, providing statistical data to leadership.
