Patient Access Associate Specialist

Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity and compliance checks, and collect insurance information for all patient admissions at Adena Regional Medical Center. Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls while adhering to policies and providing compassionate customer service measured by Press Ganey standards. Pre-register patient accounts by obtaining demographics and financial liabilities, explain consent forms, and enter benefit data to support clean claim rates. Conduct audits of accounts to ensure accuracy and provide statistical data to leadership, while screening medical necessity using ABN software for Medicare patients.
