Job Summary
Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity and compliance checks, and collect insurance information while managing point-of-service collections and past due balances. Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls and screen medical necessity using ABN software to inform Medicare patients of potential non-payment. Conduct audits of accounts to ensure forms are completed accurately and timely, then report statistical data to leadership. Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits by obtaining necessary signatures and distributing required education documents. Review eligibility responses in the insurance verification system to select applicable plan codes and enter benefit data to support clean claim rates.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI
- High School Diploma/GED
- CRCR certification
- Must be able to work on-site at Covenant-St Mary's, Lewiston, ME
- Available for various full-time shifts, PRN, varies-day, night & weekend shifts
