Patient Access Associate I Registration Specialist

Job Summary
Register and schedule patients and visitors for appointments, tests, and procedures; verify and collect accurate demographic, financial, and insurance information; process co-pays and balances; provide information on financial assistance and payment plans; obtain signatures on consent forms and disclosures; assist with directions and parking; coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow; document updates in the electronic health system and follow up on pending items such as prior authorizations and referrals.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, is required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet and email required
