Patient Access Associate- Full Time, Nights

Interview patients to obtain identification, demographic, guarantor, and next-of-kin information while verifying insurance coverage and coordination of benefits. Apply ID bands following the two-identifier rule, scan documents into the Electronic Document Imaging system, and enter data into the EHR for payments and record releases. Educate patients on Advance Directives, Charity Care, and Patient Rights, ensuring all forms are signed, witnessed, and documented with follow-ups when necessary. Collect copayments and deductibles, issue receipts, and balance daily transactions by shift end. Answer telephones professionally, distribute registration forms to ED and peri-op units, and assist departments with performance improvement projects.
