Job Summary
As a Patient Access Representative for R1, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring fast, compassionate, and accurate access to care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You’ll register patients across multiple systems, answer phones, gather accurate information, collect co-pays and provide cost estimates, and collaborate with nurses and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, clear communication, ability to multitask, and comfort with shifting priorities. No healthcare background required—training is provided. The position supports patient access, registration, insurance verification, and cost estimation with opportunities for growth within R1.
