Job Summary
Greeting patients and directing them through the front desk process; performing registration tasks, updating demographics, verifying insurance eligibility, collecting copayments/coinsurance/deductibles, and ensuring accurate data in the electronic health record; handling visit closure activities and follow-up tasks; providing customer-focused service, guiding patients, and assisting with wayfinding; maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor; performing clerical duties (copying/scanning/faxing), basic office tasks, and ensuring a clean, organized front desk; adhering to HIPAA policies and company procedures; leveraging basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) to support daily operations; ability to multitask in a healthcare environment and collaborate with staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum Typing Speed of 50wpm
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- 1 year experience in medical office setting or 6 months in healthcare/CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Basic understanding of insurance and billing terms (DRG, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) preferred
