Job Summary
Patient Access Admitting role at Nationwide Children’s Hospital: greet and register patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and pull/file medical charts. Register patients with accurate demographic, insurance, and physician information; verify insurance eligibility, pre-certification, and physician referral requirements; identify self-pay patients and refer to financial assistance; collaborate with clinical staff and other departments; assist in shadowing/precepting new employees. CPR certification required (per position/manager). Strong computer and administrative skills and excellent customer service are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate's Degree preferred
- CPR certification (based on position and as determined by manager)
- One year of health care experience preferred
