Patient Access -Admitting

Greets patients and visitors, registers and schedules inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients, and verifies demographic and insurance information within the Epic electronic record system. Obtains patient consent for treatment, scans consent forms and EKGs into Epic, and completes missing account information through assigned work queues. Monitors patient and visitor access through the Emergency Department entrance during the night shift (11pm-7am). Works closely with ED Nursing, Lab, and Imaging to ensure patient service delivery. Cleans admitting work areas and adjacent public spaces as needed.
