Job Summary
Patient Access Registrations Specialist I in a PRN role responsible for collecting demographic, financial, and insurance information, verifying eligibility, registering and scheduling patients, collecting co-pays, deductibles, and balances due at the time of service, and guiding patients through financial assistance options and disclosures. The role involves assisting patients and visitors, coordinating with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow, documenting updates in the electronic health system, and following up on pending issues such as prior authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications. Experience with Epic and strong customer-service skills in healthcare settings are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office, internet and email
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities
