Job Summary
Pathways High School Math Teacher needed to facilitate mathematics instruction aligned to the Michigan Merit Curriculum within the Pathways program. Responsibilities include designing personalized learning experiences to support credit attainment and graduation, delivering instruction through Direct Instruction, small-group intervention, blended and digital learning formats, building strong relationships with students and families, supporting Educational Development Plans (EDPs) and career exploration, monitoring progress toward credit completion, using assessment data to identify learning gaps and implement targeted interventions, maintaining high expectations with appropriate academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports, and collaborating with Pathways staff, counselors, interventionists, special education staff, administrators, families, and community partners. The role requires a valid Michigan teaching certificate with a secondary Math endorsement, comfort with MTSS, and a commitment to district initiatives; in-person on-site work is required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate secondary Mathematics (EX) endorsement required
- Strong understanding of secondary mathematics instruction
- Experience providing math intervention, credit recovery support, and targeted small-group instruction strongly preferred
- Experience working with students in alternative education, credit recovery, dropout prevention, intervention, or non-traditional educational settings preferred
