Job Summary
Pathologist needed to join St. Mary’s Health Care System’s in-house pathology team in a full-time capacity based out of Athens, GA. The role involves collaborating with two experienced pathologists and a multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic pathology services, with a shared call schedule and a well-balanced workload. The position emphasizes seamless integration with hospital operations, strong administrative support, and a collegial environment focused on patient care. Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Pathology residency program
- Board Certification through the American Board of Pathology in AP/CP
- Georgia medical state licensure
- Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- Strong interpersonal and diagnostic skills with commitment to teamwork and service excellence
