Job Summary
Conduct gross evaluation of tissue and prepare slides to aid pathologists in identifying or dismissing disease. Perform preparatory steps ensuring quality diagnosis through information gained from tissue evaluation and slide preparation by histology technicians. Requires an Associate's Degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology with specific coursework in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology. Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology, obtained from an accredited institution
- Education/training equivalent to the above that includes at least 60 semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution
- 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses
- 24 semester hours of science courses that includes 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination
- Per Diem/Evening Shift
- Days will vary between Monday-Saturday from 3:30pm-12am
Desired Qualifications
