Job Summary
Pathology Technician at Alaska Site supports specimen accessioning, scheduling and procedures (frozen sections, FNA, bone marrow biopsies, CT/US procedures), cytology processing, QA/compliance, reagent prep, transport of slides and specimens between hospital locations, and providing pathologist support. Requires attention to HIPAA, SOPs, PPE; flexible, detail-oriented, strong communication and team collaboration; basic computer skills; valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; day shift M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm. Qualifications include high school graduate plus 1+ year clinical/lab experience or a Bachelor's in related sciences; preferred: prior clinical/lab experience and medical terminology knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Combination of High school graduate AND 1+ year of relevant clinical/laboratory experience
- Bachelor's in medical technology, chemical, physical, or biological science strongly preferred
