Job Summary
Receive, label, and distribute clinical laboratory specimens (blood, urine, tissue); process specimens by verifying patient information and accessioning into the laboratory information system; prepare samples for testing; monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, reagents, and equipment; follow procedures for handling, storage, and disposal; maintain a clean, orderly lab area and adhere to safety and accreditation standards; collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate specimen processing; demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills, basic computer skills (MS Office), and the ability to work both independently and in a team; physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 1-2 years experience preferred in a laboratory or healthcare setting
