Job Summary
Receive, verify, accession, prepare, and process surgical pathology specimens. Support frozen section and intraoperative consultation workflows by assisting Pathologists and Pathologists' Assistants during grossing. Perform approved routine low-complexity grossing within department scope once qualified and competency documented. Utilize Cryotomy, LAB, LIS, and Epic systems for specimen management. This role supports hospital Anatomic Pathology operations at Carle Health BroMenn Medical Center in Bloomington, IL, contributing to patient care across central and southeastern Illinois.
