Job Summary
Pathology – Cytopathology Physician: diagnose diseases using Fine Needle Aspirations and non-Gyn specimens; perform microscopic examinations of slides and cytospins, provide diagnostic pathology reports, consult with referring physicians, participate in QA and training, and maintain regulatory compliance. Roles are full-time with standard Monday–Friday schedule in Westchester County, NY, 30 minutes from NYC; relocation assistance offered; board-certified cytopathology training required; NY license required; on-site laboratory environment; opportunities to testify as an expert witness and engage in professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved four year residency in anatomic and/or clinical pathology
- Board certified in anatomic pathology by the American Board of Pathology or the American Osteopathic Board of Pathology or possess qualifications that are equivalent to those required for such
- Hold Board certification in Cytopathology
- Active New York State medical license
- Successful completion of a pre-employment visual color discrimination test
- Complies with Board of Medicine on annual continuing medical education requirements
- Gain/Maintains appropriate medical staff membership and privileges at applicable medical facilities
