Job Summary
Pathology Collector, Brookvale — collect blood and other samples while delivering a positive, professional patient experience. Responsible for preparing and packaging specimens for transport, maintaining accurate records, and supporting smooth daily operations across the collection site. Requires genuine care for people, empathy, strong communication to connect with patients, ability to follow procedures accurately, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. Training consists of a 6-week paid program designed to build essential skills, with the first 2 weeks full-time followed by a minimum of 25 hours per week, delivered via Healius Academy onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential
- Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential
- A background in healthcare (e.g. aged care, disability, nursing) or strong customer-facing experience
- A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
- Ability to provide evidence of immunisation requirements including Hepatitis B
