Job Summary
The Pathology Assistant performs gross examinations, dissection, and description of tissues in Surgical Pathology and Autopsy Services, managing workload to meet Turn-Around-Time requirements. Responsibilities include accurate tissue sampling, documenting procedures, compliance with safety and quality guidelines, and collaboration on departmental budgets and protocols. The role requires strong communication skills and teamwork to support laboratory operations while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in all activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Graduate of a NAACLS accredited formal Pathologist Assistant Program required
- ASCP certified or eligible

- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
