Pathologist

Pathologist needed for a full-time hospital-based group overseeing two community hospitals and several critical access hospitals. Responsibilities include a caseload of biopsies, complex resections, and non-GYN cytology (no GYN cytology), frozen section coverage, and fine-needle aspiration adequacy assessment. Autopsies are rarely performed. Subspecialty training is not required, but cytopathology or GI training is viewed favorably. Participation in clinical lab management and multidisciplinary tumor boards is required. Competitive compensation with relocation assistance. Located in the Quad Cities along the Mississippi River, with easy access to Chicago and the University of Iowa. A collegial group of 6 general pathologists and 2 pathology assistants supports this role, with opportunities for leadership and ongoing collaboration with clinical colleagues.
