Job Summary
Under the supervision of a pathologist, assists with preparing, dissecting, and selection pathology specimens for analysis, including assisting with frozen sections and producing slides; manages LIS orders, maintains supplies, documents information, mentors staff, maintains quality programs, and participates in training; requires Bachelor’s degree with ASCP PA qualifications or equivalent, and five years’ pathology assistant experience; location is Annapolis, MD; part-time Senior role in Histopathology.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with course work sufficient to meet the requirements of the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) for certification as a Pathologists Assistant.
- Five years of continuous experience working at LHAAMC or LHDCMC as a Pathologist Assistant
- PA(ASCP) or PA(AAPA)
- In lieu of ASCP certification as a Pathologists Assistant, consideration will be given to those who have completed a four year medical degree and at least one year of pathology residency
