Job Summary
Follow laboratory management instructions to run specified tests, input sample data into electronic databases, and print required paperwork. Read test results, verify accuracy through dual checks, and issue completed reports to customers while maintaining quality system traceability. Monitor incubator, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures daily, inspect incoming supplies for lot numbers and expiration dates, and ensure all decontamination and environmental quality assurance checks are completed. Perform daily and weekly housekeeping duties, manage testing supply inventory, and assist laboratory technicians in cross-training areas as needed. This safety-sensitive on-site role requires flexibility for additional hours and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Good written/oral communication skills in English
- Self-Starter while being a team player
- Ability to handle multi-tasking
- Excellent organizational skills
- Previous laboratory experience or science related course work
- Excellent customer service skills with all levels- Upper management, Vendors, and production employees
- Must possess computer skills in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, Access, Power-Point, Outlook/email)
- Schedule flexibility, including additional hours and weekends as needed
- Must be willing to be cross trained in many facets of laboratory work
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work overtime
- Must be able to work in a safety sensitive position
- Must be able to work on-site
