Job Summary
Coordinate patent filings and inventor-related processes while maintaining document management systems and tracking deadlines and costs. Collect inventor information, manage national phase instruction letters, and support patent awards. Process invoices to support cost-tracking initiatives and identify opportunities to automate transactional processes. Develop policies, procedures, and best practices to drive consistency and efficiency within the global patent program. Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Hybrid schedule requires four days per week in the Universal City, CA office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a professional role requiring organizational skills and careful attention to detail
- Experience preferably at a law firm or comparable corporate setting
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and workload management skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-directed; able to work independently and collaboratively
- Hybrid schedule requiring contributing from the Universal City, CA office a minimum of four days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in patent prosecution or familiarity with domestic and international patent processes
- Experience with IP docketing and patent management systems, including Computer Packages, Inc.
- Positive, adaptable, and proactive approach in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools and an interest in developing ways to deploy these tools to improve our practices
