Job Summary
Patent Litigation Paralegal in West Los Angeles (hybrid) supports the firm’s Patent Litigation department by assisting with trial preparation for local and out-of-state trials, managing document productions and eDiscovery, preparing exhibits and demonstratives, conducting legal research, overseeing timekeeping, and coordinating with clients, witnesses, experts, and graphics teams. The role involves TOCs/TOAs, deposition designations, E-filing, trial disclosures, and supervising junior staff; familiarity with Everlaw is a plus; travel within the state and out-of-state may be required. BA/BS or paralegal certificate with 5+ years of experience is preferred; patent litigation experience is strongly preferred but not required, as the firm will train the right candidate.
Required Qualifications
- BA or BS preferred but not required with a combination of lengthy experience as a paralegal and a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program
- 5+ years of experience working as a litigation paralegal
- Experience in Federal, Appellate, Federal Circuit, and International Trade Commission Courts, strongly preferred
- Patent Litigation experience/ focus strongly preferred, but not a necessary skillset; firm will train the right candidate
- Ability and willingness to travel within the state and out-of-state to assist with trial prep, trial, and post-trial breakdowns
