Patent Counsel (M/W/D)

Job Summary
Commercially-minded Patent Counsel to serve as a strategic partner for a portfolio of high-growth tech startups, shaping IP strategies and protecting key innovations at the intersection of hardware and agile software. You will work with startup founders, product owners and engineers, manage the IP portfolio, coordinate external attorneys, and operate with autonomy in a Munich-based, remote-friendly environment. You will act as an in-house patent attorney for multiple startups, collaborating with a team of lawyers, patent attorneys and IP managers to drive innovation and business value.
Required Qualifications
- Fully qualified patent attorney (US, EPO and/or Germany)
- Significant experience in semiconductors, physics and electronics
- Professional fluency in German and English
- Startup-focused mindset; Pragmatic, proactive; Able to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers
- Attention to detail with a focus on business objectives
- Excellent communication and ability to articulate ideas
