Job Summary
Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications while developing portfolio strategies for innovative clients. Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and validity analyses to counsel clients on intellectual property strategy. Work directly with inventors, engineers, executives, and in-house counsel to manage domestic and international matters. This role offers substantial responsibility and direct client contact within a boutique firm representing startups through Fortune 500 companies. Full-time position in Voorhees, New Jersey, with hybrid work flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Registration to practice before the USPTO
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar (or ability to obtain admission)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm or comparable IP practice
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client matters
- This is a full-time position based in our Voorhees, New Jersey office
- Hybrid work flexibility available for qualified candidates
Desired Qualifications
- Prior engineering or industry experience
- Patent litigation experience
- Experience managing client portfolios
