Job Summary
Drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the fields of electrical engineering, computer science, and software-implemented business methods; drafting and reviewing intellectual property agreements and licenses; and providing patentability, freedom to operate, and due diligence assessments. The role supports a NY office with a hybrid work arrangement, requires a Juris Doctor and bar admission in New York along with 7+ years of patent preparation/prosecution experience in the electrical arts, and U.S. PTO registration. Compensation ranges from $200,000 to $250,000, with comprehensive health/vision/dental benefits and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor, higher degree, or equivalent in Law
- 7+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution in the electrical arts
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or related degree and/or work experience
- U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration
- Licensed to practice law in New York
