Job Summary
Draft and globally prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications, coordinate with foreign law firms and clients for formal document processing, and maintain client patent portfolios. Review country requirements, obtain Foreign Filing Licenses where needed, and prepare notices regarding upcoming deadlines. Anticipate supervising partner or client needs for specific projects and delegate effectively with paralegals or legal administrative assistants. Meet an annual billable hour requirement of 1650. This Mechanical Patent Agent role is 95% patent prosecution and 5% general administrative duties. The position requires SPTO registration, a relevant engineering degree, and minimum five years of patent prosecution experience. Applications must be submitted within 45 days of the posting date.
