Job Summary
Patent Agent with 3+ years of legal practice in life sciences, holding a PhD or MD in a related field, and USPTO registration, to work remotely for clients in a top-tier patent group. The ideal candidate has expertise in organic/medicinal chemistry, immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, oncology, or related disciplines, and can draft and prosecute patent applications, prepare persuasive office-action responses, and communicate effectively with clients and inventors. Remote opportunity based in US with specified hubs (Denver, CO and other major cities) and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- USPTO registration number
- PhD or MD in related life sciences field (organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, oncology)
- 3+ years of legal practice experience (preferably at a law firm)
- strong oral and written communication skills
- ability to draft patent applications and respond to office actions
- fully remote work availability in the United States
- excellent academic credentials
