Job Summary
Welcome and initiate contact with patient families to obtain registration and insurance information, ensuring all accounts flow through the revenue cycle without errors. Actively greet families to ensure a positive first contact, monitor patient location for seamless clinic flow, and communicate waiting room placement and wait times. Enter demographic and insurance data accurately, scan documents, obtain signatures, and collect co-pays in accordance with CHHS guidelines. Facilitate self-check-in via Welcome Kiosks and concierge modules, engage with interpreter services when indicated, and follow infection prevention protocols. Requires weekend and holiday schedule flexibility and proficiency in Epic and Microsoft Windows.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED)
- 1+ years of experience in customer service
- Ability to work a weekend schedule, holiday schedule and possible hours or location shift change at times
- Knowledge of computer and keyboard, Microsoft Window and basic word processing skills and ability to troubleshoot basic PC issues
- Proficient data entry skills with accuracy and speed
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
