Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain field sensors for soil temperature, water, and weather variables while collecting and managing large datasets from the sensor network. Lead soil sampling campaigns at two agrivoltaic field sites, supervise lab technicians during sample processing, and perform statistical and process-modeling analysis of the data. Present results at national and international scientific meetings and lead the publication of research in peer-reviewed journals. Make decisions on dataset cleaning, experimental design implementation, and result presentation. Requires a PhD in soil science or related environmental science with field research experience. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to GA and TN for 3-4 day sampling trips.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in soil science, ecology or related environmental science area
- Previous experience (1 yr minimum) in conducting field research in grassland environments
- Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Pre-employment Criminal Background Check
- Valid driver's license by employment start date
- Authorized to work in the United States by employment start date
