Job Summary
As a Pastry Sous Chef at Mission Hill Family Estate, you will contribute to an exceptional culinary experience by executing daily station mise en place and overseeing pastry station services according to the Head Pastry Chef's standards. You will demonstrate solid pastry techniques, manage the plating and serving of desserts, and adapt to a seasonal menu utilizing local ingredients. Strong communication skills, a positive work ethic, and a desire to mentor colleagues are essential for success in this role.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a similar standard of kitchen
- Current 'Food Safe' certification (or equivalent)
- Solid Pastry techniques and skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive work ethic and professional attitude
- The ability to train and mentor other colleagues
Desired Qualifications
- Second language considered an asset
